Hi Jin,
the letter was sent from "Fara Sabina", a little town in Rieti department. The linear postmark is simply "Fara", but the town is the same.
The letter was addressed to Civita Castellana, another little town in Viterbo department. So, probably, the other linear postmark "Poggio Mirteto" (another little town in Rieti department) is for transit.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fara_in_Sabinahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poggio_MirtetoThe letter was shipped by a churchman, seems as "Guido Guidobaldi", and he writes to the Bishop of Civita Castellana about the illness of his Confessor.
In the lands of Fara Sabina there is a great abbey, the Abbey of Farfa, so the letter could be shipped from this abbey, and so the oval postmark could depict San Lorenzo Siro, the fundator of the abbey. At the same time, the oval postmark could depict the family of "Guidobaldi", even if it's more probable.. I think that it's something linked to the church.
