On July of 1911, a series of 20 commemorative postal cards were issued by Italy,
to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian Kingdom.
The Battle of San Martino was fought in 1859 for the eventual independence
of Italy. The series is composed of twenty postal cards picturing different
scenes all related to the Italian struggle against Austrian, French, Borbons,
the Pope, etc. You can find other marginal information in the Italian catalogue
Unificato Filagrano I.P. . Their series numbers are: C43/1-20, and your card
is:C43-12. My catalogue of 2002 value your card at 25 Euro.
