It's not a "printed to order" postal card, since the advertisement were printed on the normal postal card as sold by the post office. It is then what the French call a "repiquage".
No special authorisation of the post office was necessary, despite the fact that the card was sold by the private company that realised it at 5 cent. instead of 10 cent., to facilitate its utilisation.
However, it is included in the Italian postal stationery specialised catalogue given the commercial origin and its reduced price in the chapter "Private overprints". It is quite uncommon, both mint and used.
